We had a KOA ceremony with a soul on board.  Our bus had one empty seat, next to mine, at the back.

Was hustling with my dad in the chair, and we couldn't make it to the Korean, and WWII Wall. Gives me another reason to fly again next Sept.

Dave took point one last time.  

Almost 50 years, long overdue.

After a scoop of Whitey's Sgt Camo Ice Cream, as a group, they were finally welcomed home at 2230.  

So proud to be an American. So proud of the QC.  So proud for these Veterans.  So proud to be a son.

Looked up Jesse J Pena, our KIA Veteran on the flight.  His flag was brought back to his mother at the airport.  Navy Hospitalman killed tending to wounded Marines.  Awarded the Silver Star.
