Y'all finally made me get one. Been wanting one since the were first mentioned here so I finally pulled the trigger on a 17" one. Don't have the room larger one and I think the small one will work fine for our family of 3. Ordered it through Ace Hardware for $79.99 and I'll pick it up whenever it arrives. Really eggcited.

So what kind of accessories do I need? Don't have a Restaurant Depot that I can go to, so ideas of stuff off Amazon I can order from?

    Congrats Griffin.

Squirt bottles, turners (dexter high heat are my choice), melting domes or fry pan lids, silicone egg rings, some type of grill scraper (I like dexter with a stainless steel curly scrubber), bacon press

Wow that is good news. I can't hardly wait to see what brother Griff is cooking on the Blackstone.

for smash burgers a browne 56 spatula, dexter makes the same one or they are the same one =) this one is very rigid for smashing the burgers, you will need a couple long flexible ones as well.  blackstone now makes a cover for the 17. only other thing i bought for it is an aluminum cover for melting cheese on burgers quicker

  • As much as you like to cook, I'm surprised that you didn't go for the 36".  I'm glad I did, and I don't cook for a lot of people.  Of course, you can always add to your collection like many of us Eggheads add Eggs...  Enjoy your new toy.

Thanks for all the advice. I already got the Blackstone griddle kit with spatulas and squirt bottles and some silicone egg rings. Need to get one of those big spatulas like dexter and a dome to melt cheese.

@SpringChicken I would have liked to gotten the 36" but as you can see with the attached picture of the patio, there just isn't room for it and we're not ready to build out the patio right now, if ever. I think the 17" will fit in nicely and we'll swap out what on the table depending on if we're using the Mini or the griddle.

  • I still want one.

  • The 28" is on my radar.

Trust me when I say you should get the 36".
You will have 4 burners over 36". Not 2 over 28"
    More is better.
