Super Peel

Do you guys that have the Super Peel use it to take a pizza off the stone/egg once it is done? Just trying to picture sticking that cloth into a 500/600 degree egg.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I use a regular peel for removal. It won't be stuck once its done.

Just trying to avoid buying two peels if I could. GBB!

2 peels? Why?
Just use an aluminum peel and your all good.

My choice of weapons!

I much prefer the metal for ingress and egress. The wooden for cutting and serving from. The SuperPeel works great if you like to make gooey sticky cookies or pizza dough, though I don't prefer that so the SP doesn't get much of my pizza business.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
I have a $10 wooden peel (but without the polyurethane
). Use it for everything; build the pie on it, launch, retrieve, cut and serve too. No sticking, ever. Been using the same peel for 20+ years. I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Heat shouldn't be an issue. People use it for the black stone pizza oven. I just use a wooden peel and semolina. I wish the toping wouldn't move when launching. Other then that wooden peel is cheap and works great. I use a metal peel to take my pizza out the Blackstone.

I have a wooden and metal peel. Used to use both. Nowadays I just use the metal one & little semolina keeps it from sticking to the peel.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I think I read on here that somebody removes the cloth for retrieving with the super peel if that helps. I have never seen one in person so I don't know how difficult that is. Hope that answers your question.coomdaddy said:Do you guys that have the Super Peel use it to take a pizza off the stone/egg once it is done? Actually I see no reason to remove the canvas. The whole purpose is the pulling and lifting the canvas provides once the finished pizza starts under the edge.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
It would be my humble suggestion that you learn to do it old school, and skip the super peel. A super peel is a little like training wheels.
It's really not that hard. As @NPHuskerFL already mentioned, the key is semolina flour.
btw, i just got a new "gi metal" peel, and I'm digging it.

That thing looks like I could get in serious trouble with that. Kids, flies, etcblasting said:
