Best Meat T-Shirt

I know there are plenty out there, the one that sticks in my mind is a Pete's butcher shop in the Buffalo, NY area. Hmm, could have been closer to Niagara Falls NY (Its been a bunch of years and I think the actual meat market may be out of business...)

But I always remembered their T-shirts and am sorry to this day I didn't buy one. It said:

You Can't Beat Pete's Meat

I still laugh when I think about that...I'm sure there are lots of others

I have an earlier version of this one:

I've posted a pic of my custom BGE apron, which says "Cooking with gas?!?! Faux Que!!"

Another good one is from a liquor store in Montana somewhere that had a gameroom in the back: "Liquor in the front, Poker in the rear".

I also still have this one, but it shrank when I moved to higher-altitude Utard:

Way back in the early 70's I was intrigued with a startup company making ATMs for small banks. The company named BACON (BAnk COmputer Network) offered a highly reasonable alternative to the then super expensive ATMs sold by the big boys like Diebold and IBM.

Three of us bought blocks of BACON stock cheap and watched it start to skyrocket over the next few months. At that same time in 1972 Hal Roach created his now famous colorful Makin Bacon cartoon. Use your imagination what Makin Bacon looked like. I bought a T-shirt and wore it in one morning and cracked my buddies up until they were falling on the floor!

My shirt is lost to the ages, but today it would have been as funny now as then.

Epilogue...as fast as that stock had escalated BACON was hit with some patent lawsuit and the stock started down. At least all 3 of us got out with doubling our money, but that was nothing like the instant windfall we once thought we had.
