I have had my XL for about a year. Recently while cleaning it out I found a HUGE crack in the firebox. Took a pic with my cell phone and about a week ago I stopped by my dealer. He had me email the pic to him from my cell phone and said he would take care of it. A few minutes ago the dealer called and said my new firebox was in and I could pick it up anytime.
To my way of thinking that is why you buy from a dealer, the warranty is surely worth its weight in gold.

Don't forget that you can keep using the cracked one. I have the same issue and my firebox(new one) is still on the shelf nearly a year later. The crack on my old one has not worsened.
