    Did the KAB hold enough lump for the entire cook? I have a small with a KAB and have wondered about that.

    I think you are correct in the air flow is not being restricted, but at the same time I think it's allows for wind guest and such to affect the oxygen flow as well creating a hotter fire.

    Yes, I had enough lump for the duration of the cook.  It was pretty late by the time I finished up so I did not get to see how much was left.  I will check it out this evening and post a picture.  I filled it all the way to the top of the fire ring.  I believe the plate setter was actually sitting on the lump for a while and not the ring.
