OT: FlameBoss 100 for $175 @ FireCraft
Just got an email from Firecraft on a bunch of sale items and saw the FlameBoss 100 listed for $174.95. Good price on a fantastic controller for your low-and-slow cooks.

I saw that. For a second I thought it was the 200 and was gonna send the one I got back to Amazon.

@dondgc I paid 329.99 for the Flame Boss 200 on Amazon.
It's been raining here, so I haven't even opened it yet. LOL.

Is the flame boss 100 a good quality controller for someone that does not need wifi?
-
Yes, the 100 is good a controller. I have the 200 and it works great. According to the company the only difference between the 2 is one has WiFi capabilities. Oh 175$ is cheap but check eBay. I got my 200 for $285 from ebay.Ewa Beach, Hawaii

I have both a 100 and a 200, the 100 functions identical to the 200. Look and feel is the same. Both high quality units.Maybe your purpose in life is only to serve as an example for others? - LPL

Even if you don't care about the WiFi, the 200 is still nice since it updates the firmware automatically. There have been quite a few new functions since the very first generation

What is the temp range you can set it to?
-
150F-450F, I believe. You don't really need it above about 300F though.....anything at that temp is getting done fast anyway.

I was mainly concerned about the low side. I have been wanting to smoke a pork belly and make bacon at home but have a hard time keeping my xl below 250. Thanks for all the info.
