It it still has waters, a Gatorade, and about 8 beers and the ice is rocking. I didn't chill it ahead of time and everything was convenience store cold. I left it in the garage for a test run so we will see how long it stays cold."Brought to you by bourbon, bacon, and a series of questionable life decisions."

F ("forget") the warranty. The RTIC softcoolers kick butt. You won't regret it. You will regret it if you buy the Yeti.
I own 3 yeti hard shell coolers and a soft pack RTIC. I regret buying the Yeti's.. I could have bought another egg with what I would have saved.
I probably just made their Sh*t list with my chat.lol

I hear coloring is all the rage with some adults these days. Maybe I'll go buy some crayons and do some coloring and lube my zippers.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk -
So, can we get back to zipper wax?

30 hours after I loaded it up everything is still cold but it's mostly water with a couple of cubes still floating. Beer is still "blue Rockies" cold. It will easily be cold in the morning.

Multiple questions answered and personal opinions here. I have had a SoftPak30 for a few months. It's high quality and has held ice indoors for 50 hours. Haven't done a hard test outdoors yet, but it's a fine product and does the job. It seems like it will last.
Mine had a horrible strong chemical smell upon arrival, too. I cleaned with warm water and dish soap, set it outside opened for the day and then put an open box of baking soda inside it and closed it up. After a few days, it got much better. Will still have some odor after opening it up after a few weeks, though... Just nowhere near as bad as when it was new.
That being said, I agree with the warranty and customer service issues. They delayed shipping dates 3 times on me, and it was 3-4 months from the date I ordered until I received the cooler. Along the way, I had multiple chat conversations with Rtic customer service. They never apologized, gave an explanation....nothing. It was deal with it, or cancel your order. They also kept saying it would ship within 7 days, and after that 7 days, my ship date was delayed and they said another 7 days....over and over and over. The complete lack of customer service and poor warranty makes me just hope nothing ever happens. I seriously doubt I would receive any support at all. I don't think they will be in business in 2-3 years, personally. They will sell off to a larger company, or their poor service will drive them in the ground when other coolers naturally get cheaper due to competition. They are a great value, relatively speaking, and a very good product. But, if you buy from companies b/c of the warranty support/customer service they provide, look elsewhere. I love my softpak cooler, and I don't think I would ever spend $350 for a soft cooler from Yeti. My decision would be to deal with this poor company and have an awesome cooler, or do without completely. In the end, it's a soft cooler. If it holds ice for the day, it's done its job.Athens, GA
