Need advice on installing Aura side shelves on large BGE

My wife bought me a set of Aura shelves for Christmas. As it's August it's obvious I've been putting off installing these. This is mainly due to the fact that I've got to loosen the lower band. My unit is spring assisted. The egg was delivered assembled so I have no experience with this. I know I've got to do something to keep the band from being launched by the springs. Any help/advice would be great. I looked for video tutorials online but they just show how to put shelves on a unit that already has the mounting studs attached to the lower band.

    I had the same situation as you, I had to take off the bands and install the factory studs (they seat flush behind the band) .. it's a bit of work, if I lived close to you I'd come over and help you. Not fun.

    As far as the spring assist goes, you'll have to get some zip ties to keep things together. I bought my egg unassembled, and remembered this .. be careful
