Legs up- Legs down

When using the plate setter- what's the difference between legs up and legs down?

    Almost always legs up. They used to promote legs down with ceramic feet then pizza stone for cooking pizza. This has gone by the wayside in favor of legs up, cooking grid, and then stone. I can't think of an instance I use it legs down anymore. I'm sure there is one. Just go legs up and carry on.
