Here's what I do when I want to 'kick it up a notch' .. first I buy premade Stouffers Mac & Cheese from my local grocer.
I add additional cheese, usually Mozarella and Sharp, then I add a couple table spoons of my fav rub, a table spoon of Hot Sauce.
If I don't have time to pre-cook some bacon I buy some precooked bacon @ the store.
I cut the bacon up coarse and add it to some Panko and put that on top - do not mix in, but add it to the top.
Oh, you can do this all in an aluminum pan but I usually use my DO.
Cook 1.5 hrs or so @ 350 - It's magic!I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca. -
