haven't used my egg in awhile (home renovations) and I came back to a very rusty daisy wheel. Any suggestions on how to get it back to health?

quick onceover with a wire brush, coat of oil and bake her in the egg. She will look like new.Apollo Beach, FL

I would first burn off any grease build-up. Just put the daisy wheel directly on the lump. May not need to wire brush after the burn. Then, as said, coat with cooking oil and "season" in the egg at about 300 degrees.

I did the same as in this thread I did my DW before not using anymore.

Steel wool. Crisco. Heat at 350 or so for an hour. It's that simple.
