This is what I am already planning for Christmas dinner this year. Great write up, beautiful piece of meat. Butcher called wife today to ask how we wanted our half cow cut up and this was on the list. Hope it comes out as nice as yours.
If you throw it on the egg it will be golden!!!

I will be checking th thread around that time.  There are so many good looking posts of Standing Ribs.  If you reverse sear the roast, just follow the internal temp to your desired doneness and then a quick sear, I promise you won't be disappointed!

That is one great looking piece of meat.   WOW.
Thank you @MotownVol  I don't take any credit, the butcher provided a great piece of meat, and the egg did the rest.  I just consumed!!

Good eats! I try to do one standing roast a year. My family vs grandparents = we're not hosting as much, when I'm on deck... prime rib will be more of a staple for family occasions :-)

Love it!  We do them a few times a year.  My wife's family is Biritsh so the Yorkshire Pudding and mashed potatoes are always around too!  Standing rib roasts are the best fresh off the grill/oven and i think even better the next few days for leftovers.
