Best Cast Iron pan for LBGE? Have 15inch but handle is to long can't close lid...
want to maximize my grill so I can sear at the 450-500 temps with cast iron. Suggestions?

Saw the handle off.
I have seen people do that to make the pan fit the egg -

I took a 12" CI skillet to a metal shop and had the handle sawed off.
I also got a CI 11" pan and detached handle to hook on it at Target several years ago--Thermos brand. It was $6.99 on clearance.

I have the Thermos removable handle skillet and use it all the time on my large egg. It is a perfect fit. I highly recommend it.

Get what ever pan you want and cut the handle off.

Yeah Jupiter I get the drift...have cut the handles off a couple of CI's that I use regularly on the BGE but still having a hard time cutting on my 15" Lodge...it makes since for the BGE because a I leave an inch or so to still grip....from ten years ago until today seems to be a lot more CI cooking on the egg than before.....at least post wise. Will probably break down soon and do it....LBGE Katy (Houston) TX
