Saw it (held it) for the first time today....curious how well it holds beer....and for how long? Sure looks nice.....and with a large mouth for drinking directly from it....(oh sorry, I wouldn't do that).

I looked at one the other day and the first thing I thought of was your Bloodys and Rons slushies.. I think it would be great for large quantity beverages..

John, Only one way to find out. You spend the $89 on the vessel, and I will fill it up with Bloody. We can meet in Charlotte and perform a first hand test.

My wife would kill me if I went out and purchased one right now....."you already have 8-9 growlers in the garage. Why do you need that one?"

I have the 32 and its great for daily water intake but also I use it for my lunch at work. I usually fill it with the sparkling arrowhead waters and it stays cold and carbonated all day. I also tested it out with a bottle of champagne when my family was at the beach one day and it worked too good! Would imagine the 64 is just as good.

Wife has the 32oz yeti for water. I couldn't convince her to get the RTIC. She drives around all day and loves the Yeti stuff. Happy wife = Happy life.. I would have gotten the RTIC..

I bought the 64 last week. I passed it up in two different stores before I pulled the trigger. I spent all day at the beach yesterday and filled it with sangria twice. Even being in the sand (kinda in the shade) it held up pretty good. The first time I had ice from a ice machine (wet ice) it melted pretty quickly. The second time, I used ice from the freezer and it lasted a longer time. Never tried beer yet.

Thanks all. Now I have a RTIC 64oz bottle on the way. This forum is real good for keeping the credit card warm.

I bought this 64oz unit for $29.  Price is up right now.  But it works great to transport beer.

That is sweet. Checked out the video on YouTube and they supposed to have a regulator one also but checked the site and didn't seem like it moved forward in production. Does anyone have one of these? Very interested in getting someone's take

I picked this up at Costco today for just $27.  It's 64oz, dbl wall, etc.  The top opens up as seen, but the whole top assembly unscrews as well to reveal a larger opening.
    Love you bro!
  • I have one of the Yeti growler type containers (the smallest one). I typically mix drinks and take them wade fishing with me in the local river (I did yesterday and left my bag in the car for 24 hours, the leftover ice was still good) but I have held beer in it a few times and it has worked very well. The screw lid keeps carbonation in very well. I was skeptical about the price but 1) it kept my cold drink cold, even in the warmer river water and 2) it kept the funk nastiness out of my beverage. All in all if I lost it I would go back and buy another one the next day. Worth the price tag. I leave mine in a garage fridge to give it a head start when I am putting beer or anything without ice in it.

  • Also...if they didn't want you drinking from a growler they shouldn't have put that convenient little finger handle on them. KY likker style

I could not get the link to work. Question...what feeds the pressure to pump the beer. Does it require a CO2 bullet or something?

That is interesting concept of the double opening. Let me know how you like the performance if you get a second.

I was at Costco N Austin yesterday and saw that- they also had some 40oz two packs around the corner.

This is a pretty cool (kinda pricey, but this is a BGE forum after all) growler that @The_Stache brought and we enjoyed at the No. Ga Eggfest this year.  Kept beer reasonably cold - not as well as Yeti, though.  Beer didn't last long - too many people wanted a demonstration.

I purchased the 64oz Yeti.  I love it.  The open mouth makes it easy to drink from and it holds ice like no other container that I have ever had.  I work shifts in a cruiser and it gets really hot. I fill half ice on day one and I am good with ice for three shifts in a row.

I now now have the following yeti products

    2 20oz cups
    2 32oz cups
    1 64oz container

yeti 45 and 75 cooler in tan

I don't care about cheaper products.  I trust the yeti and absolutely love it.  The 64 oz is the real deal.  I will get the 32 next for my wife to bring to work

@northGAcock I'm hoping it doesn't lose insulation with that top, will be working it out this weekend.

@xfire_ATX I may have missed those at the S Costco, or they didn't have them, not sure.  What was the price for 2 forties?  Sounds perfect for my malt liquor habit.
    Love you bro!

There's more "nothing" in Yeti's vacuum than the competitors' lesser products.  Yeti pumps down to 21.0 millibar, while competitor products pump down to 20 millibar plus or minus 2 millibar.

Plus the Yeti nothingness is superior to the other nothingness because it is a Yeti, and you get what you pay for.  (disclaimer - no Yetis were harmed in making Yeti nothingness).

Who needs RTIC's longer warranty, if you have a Yeti, it doesn't need no stinkin' warranty because it costs way more and if you can't afford replacing your Yeti you have no business owning one.
