I always miss the posts on sales at Lowes or HD for good charcoal. Anyone have any heads up on upcoming sales? Would love to load up at less than $1 per pound...

Just a guess, but probably nothing but a late sale ad for some cheap briquets that you want to avoid anyway. Here's a rule of thumb to remember - merchants are powered by their purchasing agents & "marketing" folks who still think "grilling season" is from Memorial Day until Labor Day. To catch lump charcoal sales you need to be more watchful early in the season.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.
