Simple Sirloin

Nothing special here but decided to share my dinner tonight anyway. Seared off a few thick cutlets of sirloin steak at about 550 for a couple of minutes a side then let the temperature drift down. A little overdone for my liking but I'll correct for next time. 

Given the thickness of steak I would have preferred to do a reverse sear, but work held me over for too long and we were hungry!  :)

The rest of the dinner consider of sautéed onions and sweet corn (cut off the cob). Not a bad pairing with a tomato / mozzarella salad and a steak for a summer meal!
