I got the warranty from discount tire once, and got a flat. no questions asked they sent a new tire to me, they didn't want the old one back. I patched it and replaced my spare as it was starting to rot. The Nittos are only 4 ply? im sure mine were 8? if it was between a 4 ply and a 10 ply tire, I would for sure take the 10. rough ride, but major piece of mind when off road

The BFG's are a 10 play as well so I was trying to compare apples to apples.  the 4 play are cheaper, and if I went that way I would get the insurance.  I don't go many places with my truck that it should be an issue.  If I was going offroad on a regular basis I would get it.  We have bought it for furniture and that was a wastes of money.  I love it when Best Buy offers insurance for $15 on a $50 DVD player.  Not worth it to me.

    What size do you need?
265/70/17.  I think I am going with Nitto's for $980 with a $70 prepaid Visa card.  Discount tire has the best deal on them after I checked.

I paid $779 with tax, installed and out the door for a set of 4 KO2 C loads in the same size last  October at Discount. Sold my factory tires on Craigslist too. They matched a competitor that was on sale.

They are $220 a tire now at Discount Tire.  Would be around $1067 WO insurance.  If they were that cheap I would get them.  My guess like everything else tires go up in the summer and the price of oil I think has something to do with it maybe as well.  My old tires are worth it to sell.  Don't care for the rims, but can't afford new ones. :( :bawling:

Have BFG's on my 2500 Chevy. Truck has a Duramax. Had Hankooks previously. With the Hankooks even in 4wd the truck was dangerous. With the BFG's....2wd is all I needed in the snow this winter. They are quiet on the freeway. Work great in the rain. During a recent trip to AZ had a chance to do some higher (75mph) speed driving on dirt roads. Very sure footed...

I have the harbor freight tire changer. I get sidewall punctures out on my acreage fairly regularly. I just pull the tire, patch, and remount. Good to go.

Honestly, I think both of those are great options...the KO2 are a substantial improvement over the prior generation.

Personally, I have a '11 F150 as well with 20" tires but I ride on Michelin. Fantastic tires for road trips and hauling / towing, not as good for off-road.

I've had Terra Grappler 305x 55 20" 10 ply tires on my truck for 45k miles. Lots of tread left on them. I keep them at 45-50 psi. It's a little rough but it's a truck. The new TG2 is a little smaller and a little different than the ones I got. Only been stuck once on ice (had to air down for traction and once in mud during the spring rains when I sunk to the axle and winched the truck out (didn't bother airing down). I considered the KO tires but they cost more and would have destroyed my paint on my gravel driveway. They also hold too much mud and turn into slicks in the Texas clay.

Had Coopers on the truck before the Nittos. They were good but they were soft and wore too quick.

I'd definitely go Nitto or Toyo on the next set of tires.

@Jeremiah, I have 17"'s, but they look like mine.

I finally choose to go with the Nitto's Terra Grappler G2 265/70/17 for $980 for final price.  Will also be getting a rebate of $70 so the actual price is $910.  They said they had to order them and the tires should be in 3 to 5 business days.  So next week sometime.

Whatever tires you buy, don't buy them from Tire Kingdom.   This company is horrendously run and the managers are almost universally terrible people.

I wrote the review at the bottom of this page.  I will never go back to one of their stores, even if I get a flat in front of one.  I'll push my car somewhere else.

I went with Terra Grappler G2  in the 285/55/20 for my 10 Silverado, did have to do a leveling kit but what a difference in the drive. You can even do a U turn on a 4 lane without hitting the curb. They are a little bumpy the first few miles but great ride after that.

Only way I would do that is if I could find someone to put a turbo or two on it. I know Bisimoto can do it but I don't need a 1000hp minivan with a cage and 5 point harness.

You realize the bed is supposed to get scratched up?  If you don't want it to buy a spay on liner.  I could never go from a truck to mini van not even the mini hearse looking Odyssey, SUV maybe.

I bet the back won't come off.  I too like the old K5 and the old 1960's early  Broncs.  The new one looks a little retro to good old days.  Three things I regret, 1 not buying a Jeep JC7 in 1986, 2 Not buying an older Bronco and 3 not buying a K5.  I guess most of them are still ought there, just don't have the funds right now.

You will never see a new two door Bronco or Blazer produced again. Jeep Wrangler is the only one you will have.

All of the information related to the 2017 Ford Bronco release date, price and details shared in many places cannot be said accurate yet because no matter what, the Ford’s statement is more important. It does not matter what the case is, shoppers will always look forward to that the 2017 Bronco will be built with a come-off top and control to standby. People guess to see the vehicle as soon as possible but it seems the arrival and release will be in late 2017 according to some rumors; just wish it won’t be that late.

Taken from this article.  The article says it is confirmed that it will be built.  Sounds like it may have the same motor as the Mustang.

My neighbor works for Ford and was on the design team for the current F150 and is now one of the upper people for the Transit in KC plant.  He also says it is going to be built.  We will see I guess.

I bet the bronco will be close to the raptor in price. If so it's out of my price range.
