What should I buy???

I was gifted $150 in Omaha Steaks gift cards. What should I get? What do they have that is good and what should I stay away from?

Im thinking ribeyes, burgers, hot dogs, and sausages.

What says you?

I'd regift it to someone else.  Maybe it's because I'm so close to them but I've never understood the allure of Omaha Steaks

Well you could put it towards the purchase of a KJ Jr. They seem to sell them there...or at least can be ordered.

For $150 at Omaha steaks you can get either the two burger package, or the burger and hot dog package with a twice baked potato.

Those guys are all about "This $1000 worth of steaks is on sale for this week only for $127.99" Yeah, and next week also, and the week after that...

Whatever you do, don't give them your email address, unless you want to wear out your delete key.

They're "just OK" quality, In my humble opinion. You can do better than Omaha Steaks, but can't pay more.

BBQ is a celebration of culture in America. It is the closest thing we have to the wines and cheeses of Europe.

Drive a few hundred miles in any direction, and the experience changes dramatically.

If you don't mind my drawing the parallel here Omaha Steaks are to meat as Thompson Water Treatment is to weatherproof materials. It's all hype for an overpriced product for the quality received.

Or your phone number.  It almost took a court order to get off their lists.

I understand that it is not the best meat out there and that money is better spent elsewhere but this was a gift and I intend to use it. Was hoping somebody could help me out with something they have that would be worth trying.

I got $50 GC once and used it all for burgers, which were better than Krogers burgers. I had been forewarned about the email cramming so I gave them a throw away Yahoo address.

Their hot dogs are excellent. Really. Everything else is okay, not great but definitely edible.

Portion control is the only way you could justify the cost, and that's a weak justification.

steaks tend to be small and thin- I would go burgers. Easy to thaw out a few for dinner and go.

I also like their burgers.  Their steaks aren't bad.  Just over priced!
