I saw those as well. I want to do more research, but I think they are fattier than a Butt.Columbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

It is part of a pork shoulder - from the picnic portion I believe. Treat it like any shoulder meat. GFS sells them 4 pieces in a package. Each one is just the right amount for stew/chili recipes.Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
I have only used a butt....what can be done with the shoulder?jtcBoynton said:It is part of a pork shoulder - from the picnic portion I believe. Treat it like any shoulder meat. GFS sells them 4 pieces in a package. Each one is just the right amount for stew/chili recipes. -
Good to know and thanks. I saw them at GFS myself. I keep pulled pork on hand full time. I might try a pack and see if I like it or the size any betterjtcBoynton said:It is part of a pork shoulder - from the picnic portion I believe. Treat it like any shoulder meat.
