12-inch BGE pizza stone ok in Minimax or Small?

I know the 12-inch pizza stone will fit in the MM or the Small, but has anyone who has used the 12-inch stone in either of these Eggs damaged their gasket by doing so? It looks like the 12-inch stone sits close enough to the sides of the Egg that a lot of the heat would be directed toward the gasket. Is it safer to use a 10-inch stone in these Eggs?

I didn't have issues with the gasket my issue was the stone goes past the plate setter so its not really indirect and it makes the stone get really hot. I took a wet saw to mine and cut it down to like 9.5" and it works much better. You should just buy the 2 pack of 9' stones on amazon if you haven't bought th e12" stone yet.

I have used both (10 & 12) with woo successfully with no issues. I used the smaller of the two on top. I was concerned that there would not be enough hot airflow around the larger stone....but surprisingly had success. Not sure if i am accurately addressing your question, as I don't have a plate-setter for my MM. I only use the woo and stones.

Thanks for the ideas. I've already got the 12-inch stone, so I'll see how things go. I hope I don't melt the felt before learning whether or not the stone gets too hot for my pizzas.
