Misaligned Replacement Lid

I have a large BGE and the top started to peel off. This was replaced under the warranty. However, I can't get the new lid to properly align with the bottom unit. This results in the gasket getting wet and freezing shut in the winter. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've struggled with dome alignment. I finally got what I wanted by loosening all bolts, and making adjustments similar to attached video. It took a few times of loosening and tightening.

Your planes are out of whack. First figure out where the space is and how much. IOW Is the back sitting down or vice versa?

Then depending on which do this. For instance if the back is sitting down leaving the front open...

Place 1 or more quarters on the gasket edge at the back and close your dome. Then loosen your band and press down. That should raise the rear a bit, but tilt the dome forward. Tighten bolts, then remove quarters. Since the gasket will absorb some of that thickness when compressed you might want to start with at least 2 quarters or even 3. There is the chance that you'll solve one issue and create another.
