OT - Vacuum Sealed bag labels
I just bought a Vacmaster VP 215. I've been searching the World wide web and can't find anytging in how to label the bags beyond tape or a sharpie. I want something that I can place in the bag that won't bleed into the food. How do you do it?

sharpie as well doesn't bleed into food

Permanent marker on outside of bag works for me.
A couple of times I've bagged a lot of the same sort of thing and gave some thought to printing out nice labels with info on the contents and heating/reheating instructions but then I remember I'm too lazy to do that.

Sharpie...no bleed thru. Quite the opposite, it normally smears off

Sharpie also. On the sealed flap ,so if I decide to reuse bag , can mark again on new sealed flap
-
I just write with a permanent marker above the seal. Zero issues.

I have a lady come by on Tuesdays and Fridays to do all my labeling - she has beautiful penmanship.
Na, I just use a sharpie on the flatest part of the package. Dark blue works well (shows up pretty good since nothing I cook is blue)

Guess I was over thinking this... Sharpie it is!

If you really insist on labeling....... vac it and seal as you'd normally do, but make the bags a little long and seal a few inches from the top of the bag. Then make and insert your label and seal the outer section in enclose your label. Its not in food contact to rub off or wick up liquids from the food. Then when you pull it out of the fridge/freezer, you can simply cut off the label portion and put in the SV, or whatever.

Never ever thougt if anything but a sharpie. Describe it and date it and in the freezer it goes

I use these and love 'em. I peel them off if I want to reuse a bag.

@DaveRichardson That is a great idea. I'll never do it, unless maybe I'm giving stuff away, like smoked cheese. Great idea though.

I'm starting to like this sealing a label in the end section of a bag.

Red sharpie for cooked foods, black sharpie for non-cooked foods ...
