Had to go to town today. On the way out ran into the FedEx guy...not only did Bruce send me a band/spring kit he included a gasket. When I got to the eye doctor I sent him an email thanking him. I also asked if BGE sold a "bolt kit" for the XL. Our older XL has several of those funky bolts that will not tighten as well as one of the hinge bolts is worn funny. I asked my previous dealer about it, was told that none hardware kit is available.  Bruce is sending me a hardware kit.

I honestly think I am about ready for one of those.  Mine is about 2 years old and I can't get this thing to seal.  This weekend when running the stoker, every time the fan run you could sit and watch all of the smoke billow out of the side of the egg...... NONE of it going through the DW.  Unreal.

PM me how one gets in touch with mr bruce.

Edit: Not only that, but I was never give the plastic piece that holds the band together when you take it apart. :(
