New Member/Raised Grate Question

Finally finished my outdoor area and large BGE has found it's nesting place.  I've been trolling this site for a while and really learning a lot from the content.  Great group of cooks with some questionable personalities.  Looks like I landed in the right place.  Can't wait to get some cooks under my belt to share with the group.  So far, just tried a couple chicken cooks (spatchcock and wings) and did ok, have had other's BGE chicken and know it can be better.  My issue was temp and regulating.  Have since read techniques that I wasn't doing so I think I'm on the path of future success.  Family wants ribs for Memorial Day, so I press on... I'm growing my arsenal of toys and as I already knew going in, this stuff gets out of hand quick!  Today's task, raised direct cooking grate.  Have seen tons of posts and will likely go the bolt/washer/nut route but had a question about the grate itself.  Is it ok to use the "charcoal grate" from Weber?  Purchased last night ($10), link below.  It had an oily film on it that came off when washed, but don't know if there would be an issue cooking on it.  I'd think it would be better because of the thickness and it's ability to hold the heat of the actual fire, but before I put food for the family on it, figured I'd ask if this is acceptable, or if there is a better option...

    Welcome...
No problem using the above for a cooking grate but it's going to rust very easily.
I have always used another cooking grate.
    Thank you,

I put a couple of firebricks on their long axis on the firering to raise the grid to felt level.  If going higher, will use the second grid method lifted up with 6" stainless steel bolts acting as legs.

I use the Weber 18" for my upper grate...no problems...but as mentioned...it rusts if left in the weather.

I'll go this route for now.  When the rust comes, and I know it will, I'll convince myself to upgrade to one of the AR setups from the Ceramic Grill Store. Thanks everyone!
