Remoulade sauce recipe

i need to find an authentic remoulade sauce recipe. I would prefer one without ketchup as we are limiting our sugar intake. Most I have found via Google have ketchup. Any NOLA folks or non-NOLA folks have a good recipe? Do you think I could substitute a little tomato sauce for the ketchup and squeak by? Thanks

The one I'm seeing from Emeril says 3tbls ketchup although the picture sure doesn't look like it. I think I'll make it and just leave it out and if it taste weird I'll try a little tomato sauce in place of the ketchup. Maybe he has more than one recipe . Classic--that is the key word in the description. The other one has ketchupColumbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

Serious Eats has a good one that is unsullied by ketchup. Joshua Bousel is the author of the post. It's more of a "French" style since it uses mayo. Traditional "New Orleans" style uses oil, I believe.
