Funeral Sandwiches....

If you haven't heard of these or tried them, they are basically ham sliders and are absolutely delicious. I made a batch yesterday with jalepeno king rolls and mild white cheddar. Here is the recipe. I know the sauce looks weird but it adds so much flavor to the recipe. Try it out!

@FWRealtor Those look absolutely terrific. I think a "rename" is in order though.

Those do look great. I have seen a similar recipe simply called "party sandwiches" which seems a little more festive.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -

I agree about the name change, lol. I made some of these for my daughter's first birthday party and they were almost instantly devoured. It was awkward to say "funeral sandwiches" when I was asked what the recipe was called. lol I wound up calling them Ham Sliders and emailing the recipe to anyone who wanted it.Big Green Egg Owner since 2012

Super easy to make! Another great thing about these is the multitude of adaptations - roast beef w/ swiss and peppers & onions , suasage and scrambled eggs w/ cheese are great breakfast snackers, ground beef w/ choices of cheese just to name a fewSTAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!GIVE ME OYSTERS AND BEER FOR DINNER EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR& I'LL FEEL FINE!SW Georgia : LARGE & MINI BGE

did you make that whole ham specifically for this, or you used leftovers? That ham looks amazing BTW.Cooking on a LBGE and MM down in Miami, FL. -
We've done them with havarti cheese, ham, a dijon mustard/mayo mix, and orange marmalade. Sounds weird, but the flavor is great!Jefferson, GA

I cooked the ham to make the sandwiches with but had over half left over to cut up and put in pinto beans, jambalaya, etc.Big Green Egg Owner since 2012
