They are in my neck of the woods. Already own an XL and L, don't really need it but kind of tempting to pull the trigger on the KJ jr for CAD 469. @bweekes what say you

I know the KJ roadshow in USA is a great deal. I would do it.

I have one and love it. I have a large BGE but the Jr is a great size for most cooks

I've only heard great comments regarding KJ. The roadshow started yesterday in my area, i was going to get a Jr until an opportunity for a Minimax came along. Great customer service as well i was told.

@chuckytheegghead , it's currently at Mississauga location, not sure if it's the one on Dundas St or Rodeo Drive... probably ending couple of days before its next stop at Downsview store 5/26 - 6/6, after that it's Burlington.

They were at our costco today.  I noticed no screens on bottom vent?    And their vent doors did not slide well at all.  I do like the size of their smaller one though

The ash drawer has a screen front on it, that would account for the classic and bigjoe. I have never had an issue with my Jr.

My KJ Jr. is my most used cooker these days. About to put on a chicken to roast in about an hour.

Thinking I might get another one when the Roadshow hits my area in July.

No screen on the smaller KJ. Have beard of some complaining, others not so much, easy fix though.

Gary, apologies for the late reply here - not sure how I overlooked this. In any event, I love my KJ, though admittedly I use it significantly less since I got my Medium. I just find the medium is a perfect size for most cooks and a great compliment to my XL. On to your question - the KJ is a workhorse and is very consistent. I found (might be just me) that it was a bit slow to get up to temp compared to my eggs. Overall, I think it's a good value (you get the raised direct setup, and a round stone for indirect), and you'd likely be happy pulling the trigger.

@bweekes, no worry Brandon, I kicked the tires two days ago but didn't bite since I don't really need one.  I was also wondering if it would be slow to come up to temp too, since the gap around the platesetter is narrow, and the lump grate holes are small (reminds me of the Small BGE I got rid of). Hope to see you at the TO fest, we're cooking this year.
