Okay, so the wife wanted me to fire up the grill. Nothing in particular, but something grilled out. So, I decided to try something my father told me about - Grilled Salad.
After grilling some hot dogs, it was time to go to work.
Halved romaine hearts, lightly brushed with olive oil, and put face down on the grill direct heat @ 450 to 500. Don't need to be there more than 2 minutes before you take them off and plate them up.
I sprinkled fresh feta and parmesan cheeses, some course sea salt, black pepper, fresh chopped basil and some balsamic vinegar.
Was a pretty good meal, I must say.
