Blackstone Griddles - anyone have the 17" table top?

After Butt Blast and seeing the Blackstone Griddle in action - seriously considering getting one - but rather than building a completely new patio/deck - decided to look for smaller set-up than the 28" or 36" Griddle.  Saw that there is a 17" table top griddle - of course this would also be prime for taking on our tailgating adventures!  Has anyone gotten this version of the Blackstone or seen it in action?  If so would you recommend it?

@Focker has one as well.  Here is a post with it in action.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

i have the 17, works great but it eats those 1 pound green tanks. it needs an adapter for the 20 pound tank. it does have hot spots but that makes it good to move food to the side and off the heat. it needs a carry bag which blakstone only makes for the larger sizes. i have done some pretty descent  sized cooks, 2 flats of breakfast sausages, 2 pounds of corned beef hash, and a half pound bacon on the griddle all at once, then the eggs. bigger would be better for a home base but i was looking for smaller more portable. really works well for smash burgers. there is no cover for this model

I have one and for it's size, it's a work horse.  I bought the adapter for the 20lb tank, but the coleman tanks would be ideal for tailgates/travel.  I also like the fact I can move it inside when not in use, so less rust worries.

    @tarheelmatt  @bgebrent You two ain't right. That's why I love ya.

@tailg8ers   Suzanne.  I do have the 17" and have been happy with it. The only downside I have experienced is it is not great when out in the open on a very windy day. The griddle just does not get as hot as i would like it. I did reach out to the company to see if they made 6" legs for it, but they don't. That would allow me to remove my MM from my table and insert the Griddle at table height. The legs provided are adjustable for leveling....but are only about 2" in height.  I will find some some legs elsewhere when I have time.

What i really like about it is the portability. It fits nicely into the back of my car (for tailgates). It is not heavy and can easily be moved around. Also, it can be connected to the small camper canisters of propane.....or the larger bottle with the proper extension. I have cooked breakfast outside quite a few times now, and love the smell of bacon in the outdoors. Bottom line.....I give it a thumbs up. $79 delivered to my local Ace.....the value is solid.

Thanks @northGAcock -Robin! and @tarheelmatt -I "blame" you for this upcoming expenditure - from your original purchase of the Blackstone Griddle and discussion/posts and then those tortillas on Saturday- just kidding - nice to see these things in production before jumping in!

One of the local Ace hardware has them in stock - if the weather decides to cancel my golf this afternoon - will have to pick one up - of course if the weather scraps the golf - means I can't get the griddle set-up and seasoned before tomorrow's Baseball tailgate ....

Sounds like you have conflicting priorities. Baseball is the most important....we have Florida in town this weekend....so should be some great tailgating and baseball.

Conflicting priorities - perhaps - just finally great weather and only 2 home series left - those 2 shades of blue teams located within close proximity!  Of course seriously hoping we will be hosting a regional and a super regional!  We've got Clempson and Louisville on the road the next two weekends-YIKES.
Good luck to your team this weekend - have seen some predictions about post season that have our teams matching up presuming we get to the Super Regionals.  If that works out - and we host - you guys have to come up and tailgate with us!!  and if its you guys hosting - we'll see you there!

Louisville is for real this year. Not quite as a powerhouse as billed preseason, but you definitely need your "A" game to beat them. My Beautiful Wife is a Louisville Grad and loves baseball. See what happens. Was I correct in reading the SEC has 7 of the top 13 teams this past week?

Prob so....depending on which of the 25 polls that exist out there. We just beat up on each other throughout the conference season. We sit a top of the SEC but have a rough stretch ahead of us. Fun to watch and even more fun in the parking lot before (sometimes during) and after the game.

@YukonRon- agree that your team is for real - just hoping we do well there - as @northGAcock said - depends on which poll you look at -but the ACC has quite a few teams in the top 20-25!    at least my Wolfpack has a top 10 RPI ranking and our 2nd favorite team -Wake Forest- is making a case for post-season as well with big series wins over FSU and the tarholes!
Could be some interesting region and super regional match-ups!  We continue to keep our fingers crossed for the trip to Omaha!!!

....and what a trip that is. I went the last year they played in Rosenblatt (and we won it all to boot)....and that city rolls it out. I have not been to the new stadium but hope to do so in the future. Don't think it will be this year for us....as I think we are a bit over rated. But that is why they play the games.

Um, I am a UK fan. They were in the top 25 after sweeping FLA, but, like Robin mentioned, it is a total brain beatdown every game. I have seen Louisville play, they are legit. Their games are also free. NCSt has a real shot, and I know the real USC is very Legit. I think they got a shot. It all depends on the post season brackets.

I think the Pack has a really good team - hoping we don't suffer any more injuries and that others are healthier by the post season.  FREE BASEBALL - wow!   We've had some losses like the BC series which came down to mental breakdown - load bases in 9th w/no outs in a 1-0 game and mange to lose!! But that is the sort of things we State fans are accustomed to...  Do hope we play like we have been lately and get a good seed.  Of course our family vacay is the week of the CWS - but I think we could quickly alter our plans and make it out to Omaha!!
