Nice...have a buddy in AZ that sets up and maintains aquariums for a living. One of his customers is some sort of engineer.....lived in some sort of old warehouse. Had an equipment room. Took my buddy the better part of 3 weeks to get it all set up and calibrated. Stainless steel plumbing....dosing pumps, every gizmo known to man. Was back when the best aquarium lights were metal halides. Built a cooling system just for his lights. Had its own power panel. When everything was running was pulling over 170 amps. Not surprising...I was using the same lights as he was...minus the liquid cooling...just 2 lamps were pulling 18 amps when running. At power up was 27 amps.bigguy136 said:Sea2Ski said:@dougcrann Damn... 300 gallons? That thing must have had tides! That is a lot of water.....A friend of mine has a slightly bigger tank than that. It's 2 stories tall and has a dock. All this in his house.

At one point we had a 300 gallon swim tank, a 125 gallon swim tank, a little 37 gallon reef tank, a turtle tank and a little bowl on the, kitchen counter. Had a ton of fun...was quite a bit of work. Had some pretty neat fish. Porky was my favorite. A Porcupine Puffer...used to let me pet him. Always fed him off a blue plate...got to the point if he seen me coming with the plate he would swim to the surface and wait for food. If I was a bit slow he would open his mouth and gills...and start pumping the water at me... -
Forgot what I wrote. So let me get this straight...just because I am less than thrilled with the failure rate I am having that means,I can't get my wife something she asked for?DoubleEgger said:
Perhaps you should reread your own post. The first line you wrote reads "...with the quality of the Egg ceramics"dougcrann said:
Perhaps you need to go reread my comment....not happy with the previous dealer...had absolutely nothing to do with the Egg...DoubleEgger said:Sooooo... In the span of 2 days, you go from "Not Real Thrilled" to being in love with a XXL and wanting to buy your wife an egg. Man you've been on an emotional roller coaster.
Just saying...
If you say so Sir....why don't you do me a favor and just ignore me as this will be my last response towards you as I will just be ignoring anything you say...little mutual courtesy...
