smoking salmon ?

Options
I cured a couple salmon filets via the recipe from "Charcuterie".  Its been 36 hours and the filets are not as firm/dense as I was anticipating.  What should I do?  as of now I am giving it mite curing time.   If it never firms up should I hit smoke it instead of cold?
Thanks in advancem  I might not be able to respond right away.

The cure works if the proportions are right. It isnt going to firm up too much because the liquid usually gets pulled back in for one.

If you used the proper ingredients in the cure and cured it for the right amount of time in the correct way, it's cured
