My favorite time of year for the best of the fests--the Georgia Mountain Eggfest excellently presented by John Hall. If it is not on your schedule, it should be. My menu will be in line with last years:
Cuban Sandwiches from overnight butt cook
Cast Iron Skillet Shrimp and Grits
ABT's
Thin Crust Grilled Pizzas--Moroccan Chicken, Buffalo with Blue Cheese, and maybe more.
So who is going and whatcha cookin?
Stop by and say hello--we are easy to find with the Tiger Paw Apron and the Orange Balloons
Here is link to great photo essay from Kristie for this event last year--I can smell the smoke already!:

What time things start to wrap up? I can't make it until mid afternoon, not sure if it's worth the trip that late. I have wanted to come for several years and it never works out.

I really wanted to go this year, but I'll be at Memphis in May that weekend.

Kristi--that's great, look forward to seeing you and John--and I can always use some help serving Cubans since you did so good last time!
GaBGE--some people do cook still up to about 3 pm, but it is winding down by then. Probably only worth it if you can get there at by noon or so.
