What's great is that at the end he throws his guitar up in the air, and you never see it come down. How very Prince.

The town I grew up had a bridge called "Graffiti Bridge". This bridge inspired Prince so much that it became the follow-up movie/soundtrack of Purple Rain. I remember the bridge when I was a young kid but was eventually demolished for safety in 1991. I found a few pics online on what it used to look like. I drove by the bridge when I had a few extra minutes at work today. I thought it was neat that someone decorated the new bridge where graffiti bridge used to stand.

Never a fan of his music, but MUCH respect for his talent. And yeah, he cleaned house at the stupor bowl. A modern day Little Richard with Hendrix axe abilities. He kinda lost me when he was a symbol...the artist formerly known as Prince.

My brother in law works for the police department and he was out at Paisley Park working since this morning. My wife and I went out to visit him and see how things were going. Most were in good spirits and others with wet eyes. An older gentleman who was a super hardcore groupie has been sitting in the same spot since yesterday afternoon. Another guy started a painting yesterday and was still working on it today. All kinds of love for him. Princes team bought 60 some pizzas for everyone who was hungry who came to visit. Everything is just so strange. I drive by his home/studio 50+ times a year and you just forget about it. Now you have helicopters, police, news crews everywhere. You almost forget how big he really was. Minnesota will miss him

Bartended and bounced in IA at 19, state minimum.  Security in IL at our Arena, couldn't bartend in IL until 21.  Some fun times back in the day working with the up and coming Militech Camp guys in the UFC, Pat too.  Saw so many fools get roughed up "shirts off in the gravel" style at our club.  No police intervention.  No guns, not even knives.  No lawyers.
