Monsoon Shrimp on the Barbie

We are getting torrential rain here...a good 2" between the time I lit the Egg and when I finished cooking. You can see how much water is pooling in the yard. But my cooking area is covered, so did a shrimp on the Barbie. Turned out well, and went well with the rice. Side salad (not pictured).

@CPARKTX - Those look great! I see the sesame and the black pepper......but what else did you use? Store bought marinade or did you whip it up?

@PASmoke the marinade was dark sesame oil, soy sauce, sake, honey, garlic, ginger, Chinese five spice powder. After it marinated an hour, I pour off, strained and reduced the marinade into a thick sticky sauce that I coated the cooked shrimp with just before serving. I also tossed the shrimp with more dark sesame oil before grilling, and squeezed a little fresh lime before serving.

Great looking shrimp!  Stay safe with all that water around.  Hope it ends soon, and the home remains dry.
