OT - Flowable Fill Mixtures
Is anyone familiar with this product?
I'm interested in using a form of it (excavatable) to back-fill an excavated area around the back of my home.

Yes, Its essentially cement. Just give it 24-48 hours before you move any heavy equipment on it.
Concrete has aggregate (stone) and cement does not. Flowable fill is the cement portion of the mix.

It is also low strength and has less cement than does a traditional concrete mix. It is more expensive than traditional fill and is used where it is impossible or difficult to achieve compaction through mechanical means.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen!
I like the self-leveling & compaction benefits of this product. For my project's schedule, it is worth the extra money to use it instead of spending time using a soil compaction rammer."You can live in any city in America, but New Orleans is the only city that lives in you."Chris Rose
