Earlier this spring @Jeremiah expressed interest in purchasing a BGE Chiminea. I was shopping at my local garden center/BGE center and nearly tripped over this!

Was that the only one they had? Rockford isn't that far from me.

does it come with wiener roasting forks?

BBQ is a celebration of culture in America. It is the closest thing we have to the wines and cheeses of Europe.

I didn't inquire as to available inventory or kit assessories. For those looking for something extra, it was sitting next to the XXL BGE.  The Chiminea is being sold at. Village Green 6101 E Riverside Blvd Rockford 815-877-9559.

I am tempted to do so. But with the Bash this weekend, Texas Eggfest in a couple of weeks and then the Houston and Okie Eggfest. Then 7 day cruise in July, my calendar is full. But I may pull this off yet!!!

no sour grapes meant, but I'm fairly certain it is resting on the old style stand which was also used for a Mini.  Then that stand was subsequently abandoned because the design allowed the bottom to break and drop the hot burning lump. So in addition to the $385 count on buying a new stand as well.

    Ron,
Does the Chiminea wedge into the stand like the Mini?
Or does it "rest" on the upper part of the ring?
Never owned Chiminea but do have old style stand for my Mini and see the issue it has with the Mini.
    Thank you,

I don't own one, but I was going by that picture and I'm sure that in front is one of those feet from the old style stand.

Yup it is. But the chiminea rests on top and is not pinched like the mini.
But this one will on a rolling nest out by the pool.
I like that you can burn splits in it.
And since I bought new, it has the warranty! lol
    Just no replacement parts probably!!!

Just looking at another pic from the interweb:

The picture quality is terrible but the angle is good.  I think this stand might be okay for this due the way the chimenea is shaped.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I will. Now just hope UPS does a great job. I'm sure they will, have had eggs shipped before and all went OK. I learned to let them pack it and it usually goes well.
