Willing to share a marlin recipe?

Greetings-

My local seafood store had some marlin steaks on a little bit of a sale and in the vein of trying new things I wanted to give it a shot. Does anyone have a marinade and/or Egg setup/temp that you are willing to share? Any information would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Chris

Marlin is great very similar in texture to swordfish. I would marinate in some olive oil with minced garlic for maybe an hour. Salt and pepper then cook direct at 600 degrees about 4 or five minutes a side for 1 inch thick steaks. They dry out very quickly. Finish with garlic lime butter. Enjoy

Thanks for the information, I ended doing a similar marinade: Olive oil, crushed garlic, thyme, S & P, for 45 minutes.

Also did a tuna steak for a comparison. Grilled direct at 550° for 3.5 minutes a side, maybe slightly overdone but it had nice density and flavor. Will definitely do this again.

    Thanks again!
