Grill question

I have the original porcelain grill in my egg, since 2000.  I did a clean burn the other day and now there is rust on it?  I see the new ones are sold with the stainless steel grills.  Think it's time to toss my old one and 'upgrade'?  Hasn't been wet but it's humid down here and there is a lot of salt water in the air.  But now?  After 16 years?  Thoughts?

Pitch it before you get those porcelain chips in your food. I did the same a year ago.

Tom at Ceramic Grill Store sells top quality SS replacement grids.  Both my larges were porcelain.  I use the porcelain grid as a trivet on my table now.
