1/2 pork 1/2 beef burgers

What's better than a burger on Sunday? 2 ! Made up some 1/3 pound patties seasoned them with salt lick rub. put them on raised direct for 4 minutes a side.melted sharp cheddar after first flip. Cooked a little too long till a little past medium. But they were still plenty juicy.

They look great!  I've never mixed pork and beef for a regular burger, and not some kind of sausage or meat loaf.  Sounds interesting!

@EggNashville they were good. It's the first time I've made them like that. I'll be doing it again.

Looks great!@texaswig, fun to experiment with different grinds and ratios.  Recently chatted with a guy who makes "All American Burgers" on his menu.  Equal parts beef, bacon, and Hebrew National dogs.  Sounds kooky enough to give it a trial run for the upcoming grilling holidays.

Wait -- 1/3 beef?  And 1/3 bacon, 1/3 HOT DOGS???  Holy Moly!  Can't imagine.  PLEASE post on that if you try it!

    I will.  =)
Actually,  it's 2/3 beef, 1/3 bacon.  Something leaner like top round might be just right.  He said it's his biggest seller, got my attention.
