A good buddy of mine is a huge Rangers fan and is down there for opening day this weekend through early next week. Not super 5 star fabulous places. Just good to eat grub. Any suggestions?

Cattleack BBQ. Only open Thursday or Friday. Better than Pecan Lodge in my opinion, but still a hidden gem.

What part of town is he staying? I can recommend a ton of amazing places all over town. But it's a big city so let me know where he is and I can give you a ton of recs.Dallas

Tell him on Tuesday for lunch Damian's Soul Food cafe in Arlington. I can't recommend this enough. There is no menu to look at online. They just have a whiteboard and serve what they feel like cooking that day. True hole in the wall greatness.
