Have been on fence about buying this at Amazon. Because of its low cost, I wonder if it is a piece of junk or worthwhile. Anyone have any comments?

This looks like it the Maverick ET-732 electronics in a different housing.

The maverick is pretty good but do have some issues with the probes. The probes on my maverick et-732 failed after about a year.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
