I am sore and my hands are bloody, but the tile are clean. The pool deck has also been pressure washed. Afterwards it was determined that the pool deck needs to be sealed again.

    Fun, fun.

Well, as long as it was fun...

Glad you got her done.  You'll probably see a bunch of spots to go over again once you're out of the pool.

Actually, that's how I got into my biz.  I did the pumice stone thing on my own pool, then the tiles dried and I saw the line was still there, then I did it again.  Did that about 5 times, all the while thinking there has to be an easier way.

For what it's worth, you saved about $400 beans, so go buy a Mini Max or something fun!

Thanks @Blasting. You described the scenario perfectly! I scrubbed and thought I had it. Nope. When the tile dried you could still see the line. Over and over until I got it.

We will be doing this a lot more often now. The dust from the tile replacement has been fun to deal with as well. I vacuumed it and then cleaned the filters. I couldn't even see the bottom in the deep end. That was Saturday. Tonight I could see the bottom and the silt was still everywhere.

I egged pork chops and then vacuumed and cleaned the filters again. I finished at 9:30!

I think it will take a couple of more times.

John, regarding the silt in the bottom of the pool, if you have the ability to vacuum to waste it will speed the cleaning process. Don't know what kind of filter you have but if it's a DE or sand filter with a multi port valve you add a few inches of water to the pool, turn the multi port to 'waste' and vac the pool. This bypasses the filter and sends the water and silt out of your backwash line. Also regarding the line on the tiles, keep and eye on your Hardness level, should be 200-400 ppm.
