OT: Virginia eggers - want a sweet dog? I have to give away my female boxer, Jazzy.
We have a 4 y/o boxer female, Jazzy. She came from my mom who passed a couple years ago. Very sweet and smart girl. Clown of the house. Our issue is as she got comfortable with our two other dogs, an 8 y/o beagle female (alpha) and 7 y/o setter mix male, she started working up the pecking order. Going after the beagle mainly. Not often, but worrisome. A nipped ear here and there – and the beagle got her bites in, too. She is fine with our cats. Spayed and has all her shots and is on heart worm pills. No health issues, a bit of dry nose, that’s it.
In any case, Jazzy seems to be a better fit in a single dog
home.
If interested, give me a ring: 804-304-4663 Short Pump area in Henrico, VA.
BTW, she LOVES the smell of the egg and will sit with you all day waiting for a nibble. I attached some pics.

Boxers are amazing dogs! But needs a ton of attention. I can see why she would be getting jealous of your other dogs

Wish I could help. We have the same issue currently. One of our pups really needs to be in a single pup home, sadly my wife is very attached to her so....
Good luck -
Wish I could. I already have a boxer and another dog, plus an infant. Hope you can find a good home for her. Boxers are great family dogs.Large and Small BGECentral, IL

Have you tried a rescue organization near you? They will take the dog, foster her to check for temperament, etc and work to place her in a good home. If you cannot find someone to take her they may be a good option.

If I weren't so far I might be on this. I have a 1 year old male boxer at the moment (my 2nd boxer...the first lived until 10 years and died about 3 years ago).
They are great family dogs. Love them. Good luck!North Pittsburgh, PA

My brother had to give his 'rescue' Boxer away. She would have seperation anxiety and would NOT stay in her crate. Brother didn't have the time / energy to devote to this dog. 1000$ in house damage was Enough.
I'm told they stay 'kids' for a LONG time. -
@chadpsualum thanks. I understand.
@begger that's too bad. All dogs are different, like people, of course. Jazzy sleeps in her crate all night or on her "bed" on the floor. I can certainly understand anxiety after leaving a loving home - that's why it's so dang hard to do this. She is the clown of the house and loves attention - but knows to "curl up" next to me at cocktail hour and relax.Lovin' my Large Egg since May 2012 (Richmond, VA) ... and makin' cookbooks at https://FamilyCookbookProject.com

If it's nothing major I would keep it. Would be sad to give her away again since she has spent the past 4 years with you

Not yet. Keeping everyone apart with baby gates for now. Gonna try a trainer and see what happens. Thanks for checking in!Lovin' my Large Egg since May 2012 (Richmond, VA) ... and makin' cookbooks at https://FamilyCookbookProject.com
