    What was the price?
I drive by every day on my way home daily.
They should move a ton of them at Buccees.
    Thank you,

I thought their big deal was they only sell "direct to consumer."  The sticker is blurry, but looks like $19.99, same price on website if those are 30 oz.

Doesn't stop a store owner from ordering a few cases and reselling.

I know generally the law is if you buy something legally, you can resell it.  Buy a few cases and reselling them in a Mom and Pop type store for a mark up, ending up at $30 or so like stated above could happen.

For Buccees, Academy, or other larger stores, there should be an agreement in place, not just for advertising the logo, but also a heavy discount, so  the retailers can also sell them at the retail price of $19.99.

Buccees has a lot of high margin items, I doubt they are giving up shelf space and making a few bucks a cup.  RTIC is not like cheap beer or gas that is going to generate traffic into the store.  This goes against RTICs marketing of how they sell so cheap.  They sell "direct to consumer" so there is no middle man markup like with Yeti, but you get the same quality or better product.

I dont have an opinion really for or against Yeti or RTIC.  I would assume the cups are so cheap, they decided selling at a lower margin, they could easily make more money with volume through distributors.

RTIC sells them in bulk for resellers. I believe they have a standard 30pk for $16 each. On their FB page, they said it's now carried in all Buccees in Texas. It started off with just 2 stores. I'm sure Buccees got a lower price deal. There's a couple of retail stores around Houston they said carry them too. Heck, there's even resellers selling them through Amazon with Prime shipping.

Information from RTIC about products NOT purchased direct from RTIC:

    Me:

"I noticed several local retail businesses selling your products.
The largest being "Buccees" in Texas City, Texas. Does purchasing from these places void the warrantee?
I thought you were direct to customers only?"

    RTIC:

    "
If you purchase a tumbler at Buc-ees you would have to do a return with Buc-ees.

I hope I was able to answer your question.
    Have a great day.

So it looks like any RTIC products NOT purchased direct will be subject to the individual sellers warrantee. In this case Buc-ees.

I too bought some more tumblers at Buccee's in Baytown, TX last weekend at the same price RTIC sells direct for.  I own both YETI and RTIC coolers and tumblers.  Only difference I see is not in quality but price.  I was a slow learner and bought way too much YETI before I realized you could actually get the same or better quality for half the price! RTIC is a home run!  Just my 2 cents worth.

Colored versions of the RTIC @ Buccees New Braunsfels last night.  If they had 20 oz in colored I would have been in.

That kind of blows. Warranty claims should be serviced by RTIC since they manufactured it. Amazon daily deals had the RTIC 30 for $12 the other day, so I guess I could buy another one if it goes bad, and still be ahead?

The Bucc-ee's in Pearland has all the drinkware (coozie, lowball, 20oz, 30oz), and different lids, as well as the handles for the 20 and 30oz. I haven't checked to see if they have the coolers too.

Walmart sells Ozark trail tumblers for $8 and $10 for 20 and 30 oz, quality is equal to competitors. I too am in the "won't pay yeti prices".

I hope they have changed their stance on the warranty. This was very early on with cups showing up at Buc-ees. I have seen both the hard and soft coolers at the location on I45 Texas City, South Houston. It's never very many and they sell out fast. I picked up the 30 soft cooler a few weeks ago.
They do have all the cups as well as the bottles/growlers up to the largest at 64oz all the time now.

I have both as well, and I can tell right away which one I grab without looking.  The Yeti is more substantial (weigh them), and I like the softened edges of the Yeti.

I'm a big fan of disruptors like RTIC, and I like their coolers.   I wish I liked their cups better than yeti.
