Not Quite Corned Beef and Cabbage

I tried cooking corned beef last year and failed miserably. This year I still have all the elements of St. Patrick's Day dinner but I replaced the corned beef with.... boneless short ribs!
Cooked direct at 250 until 120 then a quick sear on the outside before serving with spicy stir fried cabbage and roasted fingerlings.

The Rub: Ground green onions (from my garden), granulated garlic, desiccated onion, red pepper flakes, sugar, dried thyme leaves and ground ginger.

That looks excellent. Cool idea to cook a short rib like a steak. I don't think I have seen that before. The sides look great as well.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
