Another stainless prep table retrofit hopefully

Whoo hoo! Finally picture success after lurking for quite a while. Now I might actually post some pictures of the things I cook on the egg.
my real interest this time is to ask for any input as to how to handle this transition of retrofitting the prep table to new home for the large egg. Having the local Metal Magic man cut the hole is the least of the issues. My first concern is whether I'll be able to use the large nest (sans wheels) instead of having to purchase a table nest. Just by eye-balling, it appears as if the existing nest might work fine. Any opinions on that possibility? Another concern is putting the large through the hole when the time comes. I'm assuming you would take the lid off, carefully remove the egg from the nest, remove the wheels, position the leg less nest, and oh so carefully slip it through the hole and reposition everything. Then carefully reattach the lid, and then check for seal to make sure things are aligned correctly. Dos this sound like a reasonable way to proceed? Knowledge abounds on this forum, I'm hoping ya'll will share some of it with me on this exciting project.
Hard to believe it has taken me this long to finally post a picture of any sort. I have cooked any wonderful thing son the large since I've had it. Really looking fwd to taking some prep/plating pictures and posting them now. The posting pix was really simple. Don't know by I resisted for so long.
Thanks for any suggestions folks!

Cool looking back yard. To be honest while I think the egg sitting in the table looks nice, I would leave it just as you have it and keep the extra prep space and make use of the side table on the right side of the egg as well.
Another option would be to just remove the left table mate and then have someone cut an small arc in the right side of the table so it "mates up" with the egg. This would give you a finished look and only sacrifice a little bit work space.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
My Larges are in their Nests. Vote leave and have a very nice prep table.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

As said above, nice egging environment!

I've always wanted a stainless nested egg table. I know NPHuskerFL has a nice setup from a stainless prep table, and there are more on nakedwhiz too. But he did his project so he'd have lots of info on do's/don'ts. A good plasma cut offset hole, not sure I'd use your existing feet tho. You just need to adjust height, right? There's all sorts of creative things you could do to accomplish that without your nest legs.

Actually this is the front yard of our house. A while ago we visited friends in Tokyo. I became taken with their gardens. Long story short I turned our front yard into an American version of a Japanese garden with waterfall, bridge, plantings, etc. We did the front because our house faces southwest. It was originally a passive solar house. It later became a hybrid because of needed space for our new arrivals...lol.....the garden has been wonderful because grass doesn't grow well in a pine forest....duh!!!
I have discovered the amount of effort to maintain the garden is just as difficult as trying to grow grass where it dosn't want to be.....
i think I am convinced to leave the table as it is......the space is quite nice, and the egg continues to be quite movable in it's nest.......thanks to all!Berlin, Maryland -
