I have the smokeware cap and the rutland gasket.
Somehow, the ash I raked out last night was wet... Any ideas on how that happened?

I can see where a driving rain would allow some moisture to get inside, particularly if it lasted for a long time.One large BGE in Louisville, KY.

That happens to me every time we have a lot of rain. I don't think it is coming in from where you mentioned . I think it is just a little moisture working its way in through the bottom vent, which isn't 100% air tight.Greensboro North Carolina
