Check with The Outdoor Kitchen in Omaha, NE.  They are one of my local dealers and last time I was in there they had one.  That was a while ago, but it can't hurt to check.

Y'all are killing me. Every time someone posts on here I think I've got a lead! Jerks! And I called the two stores in PA, nothing, didn't get to call the one in NY before they closed, although I don't know anyone in NY to pick it up for me.

It probably wouldn't kill you to give these guys a call even though they are in N.Y.
Awesome link, thanks!  I got through earlier and bought all 5 they had left.  Totally stoked!!

Shipping was a bit steep, but figure i can recoup when I resell.

@Jeremiah i just bought a base for a Big Joe Kamado joe from them and they seem legit. My only concern is when i asked if they had the base in stock he said they have to reach out to the manufacturer because it wasnt in stock. I hope for the chiminea that is the case and its not that they dont know its been discontinued. If so they would refund days later after that whole process, at least thats how they explained it.

@Jeremiah  I now see why you asked to be PM'd.  I bet if you check google you will see a spike in BGE Chimenea searches just from your post!

Yeah I really thought BGE chimneas were old news, and someone somewhere had one collecting dust. Shot my self in the foot. As usual.

The title says it all. I've been craigslist-ing it for a while to no avail. I have no need for one, but dammit I just want one.
I've wanted one for a couple of years too, and now you've renewed that yearning.  There's a slim chance I'll find one in Oklahoma.

Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

I will be on the lookout for one in the metro Atlanta area.  There are tons of dealers around so I bet somebody has one collecting dust.  I will PM you so Ozzie doesn't try to snipe it.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

  • There was one on Craigslist around here about 2 years ago. They wanted 200 but never responded to my messages.

  • Fred19Flintstone still have yours? Where are you located?
  • First off I know I spelled chiminea wrong in my username. Thats what happens when you use a cell phone andvsign up for site as youre falling asleep in bed. But good news. I have a big green egg unicorn aka chiminea that I am forced to sell. I was out of work for half the year and bills piled up. Apparently paying bills so you have a place to live for your family is more important than having the holy grail of eggdom. I checked its still illegal to sell the wife or kids to pay the bills. I am in Seattle, with a BGE Chiminea for sale. I came to this forum first because I want it to go to someone who can apreciate its greatness. Also i would normally never want to price gouge but unfortunately Im in a position where I need to (Im selling my chiminea) and a bidding war would definitely help with the current bill as well as future counseling sessions to deal wth my loss.  Its missing the grill between the top and chimney portion and has two chips in the chimney cap. Shipping will be added on top of final offer. I will either have access to a crate used for transporting mirrors, glass from my old company or can build one. Ill provide crate but you might want to pay shipping company because I cannot be respondible for damage. You can post offers on the feed (I think thats allowed) and i will take best offer as of Saturday at 2:00 pm pacific time. I can take payment via paypal or bitcoin and wll need to receive payment by Saturday night so I can psy my landlord on Sunday. If I dont receive any adequate offers by saturday, i will take to my local dealer.

That's either a brilliant troll or a real sad story.  I think it might be legal to sell the wife/kids in Utah, but that might just turn out to be a rumor.

Dang, I keep trying troll accounts, but none are ever approved.  Bitcoin and PayPal.  Hmmm.  Does it come with any downloads from wikileaks?

  • Im not trolling. I can put it on my ebay page also but that opens it up to a million more eggheads. I have a 100% positive feedback and thats selling cameras and electronics which are some picky customers. I'm sure the local dealers probably have a list of buyers happy to purchase ittoo, but then Jeremiahs just gonna be disappointed again. Also just wondering how is Paypal suspect? If everyone who got their credit card numbers stolen from online purchases had used paypal, there wouldnt have been an issue. Also if anything Paypal and Ebay favor the consumer in any disputes over online transactions.

@Ozzie just reading posts over last day i thought yours was a troll account...lol

Whew!  Glad you said you're not trolling.

Well, post some, if I may use a food analogy, terrior - like a picture of the item with a thumbs up, and your ebay handle.  Easily settle the skeptics collective fears through some public information that doesn't compromise you.

Paypal and bitcoin are perfectly normal ways to pay for online commerce, FYI - Ozzie is actually a troll, your initial suspicions are warranted.

    Thanks in advance!

Chimnea is far from the Unicorn. Now if you stumble across a Blue Big Green Egg...or Blue Chimnea.

Since shipping risk and price is so high, why not post where you are located for local sale? Sorry if I missed it in all the BS.

To be fair, I do enjoy trolling.  Especially 1st posts that are selling something.  Selling direct here instead of ebay with their 30% cut plus protection for the buyer is smooth move.  I don't fault your logic.
