Roasted Jerk Pork and Black Bean Soup

The base soup was made using fried odd pieces from my last bacon cure and smoke.  Added ingredients were garlic, onion, sweet peppers, tomatoes and homemade dried peri peri.  It was cooked low until the broth thickened, most of the vegetables liquefied and the remaining beans were soft.

The pork roast was a freezer rescue and marinated in an off the shelf jerk and smoked with oak wood.  Sliced thin and added to the soup.
